The Ballad of Blue Skies

Released in 2003, The Ballad of Blue Skies tells a story of 30 years of music and community at the Blue Skies Music Festival.

Blue Skies is a small summer music festival held out in the woods near Sharbot Lake, Ontario every August long weekend and is a place where magic happens, like Brigadoon. This 2-hour-long documentary was shot on Hi-8 and mini-DV cameras from 1997 to 2002, with additional archival film by Ian McLeish and still photos by Jake Morrison. Narration is by John Bond. Filming and production is by Andrew Hall
